Happy New Year - Adios 2008!

2008 Came And Went

It felt like 2008 flew by, but it's time to experience 2009. I've got a whole mess of goals for the New Year.

Skills

I want to maintain and increase my skills in the New Year. I want to get better and more efficient with PHP, jQuery, Flash, XHTML, CSS, and design, among other things. I also want to pick up some new skills. I want to delve deeper into the Ruby on Rails framework. I have before, but I never really stick with it.

Site Goals

As far as this site is concerned, I'm sure there's a redesign in its future. This is a fairly fresh redesign, but I'm sure I'll update it sometime in 2009. I want to continue blogging web topics, expand the site's traffic, and improve my SEO.

CMS

I want to successfully complete the new CMS in object-oriented PHP. I want to build it, and continue to expand upon it throughout the year. It's a large endeavor, but I'm making a project out of it. In addition, it will help expand my skills with PHP, and I'll learn a lot of new techniques.

If I can complete all, or most, of these goals throughout the New Year, I'll be pleased.
